What Are The Real Causes Of Cold Sores? By Denny Bodoh.. What causes cold sores for some people, but not every one?
There are three primary cause of cold sores which you will see in this article. Once you are aware of the real causes of cold sore outbreaks, you will easily be able to take control and prevent future events.
Cold sores are caused by the replication process of the herpes simplex virus. Most of your life the virus is dormant and hibernating in the nerve cell roots - called the nerve ganglia. When the cold sore virus senses a change in your immune system and will take the opportunity to causing yet another cold sore.
The cold sore virus has a very clever early warning system because it lives in your nerve cells. To discover what causes cold sores is simply to understand what the basic triggers that encourages the cold sore virus to begin its replication process.
These are the top three cold sore triggers that you should know about.
1. YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM. If you are normal and healthy, your immune system can keep the virus that causes cold sores asleep indefinitely. The quality and quantity of vitamins and minerals that you obtain from food and supplements will determine, in a large degree, how resistant you will be to cold sore outbreaks.
Multiple reoccurring cold sore outbreaks often are a sign of a need for more nutrients - vitamins and minerals. Every one, including you and I, should be taking a good multi-vitamin and mineral supplement every day. Today's foods are grown on depleted soils and picked before they are ripe. Repeated cold sores will often disappear when you start taking a good quality supplement.
2. YOUR LYSINE AND ARGININE BALANCE. These two much talked about amino acids have a strong involvement in causing cold sores. High amounts of arginine in the cells encourages cold sore virus to replicate because it is an important ingredient in the new virus.
Your cells utilize many different amino acids for different purposes. Lysine and arginine are always fighting for the same storage space in the nerve cell. The more lysine and the less arginine you consume in your daily diet, the higher the quantity of lysine in your cells. Since lysine does not support virus replication, you can create immunity to the virus that causes cold sores.
3. ARE YOU ACID OR ALKALINE? The herpes simplex virus can be very active when your body is in an acid state. The pH of your body can vary from 5 (very
acid) to
7.9 (quite alkaline). Your body will strive to stay around 7.4 on the
pH scale. When your pH balance drops into the acid zone (below 7) you
are at risk for cold sores and other illnesses.
Usually your
body controls the pH balance very well. It will make every effort to
keep your pH above 7 and maintain optimum health. A good diet that
includes vegetables and fruits will go a long way in helping this effort.
Carbonated drinks, coffee, and pork, on the other hand, are a few things
that contribute to an acid environment in your body.
Have you
heard that causes cold sores? Well it is true.
I have not mentioned it
until now for good reason. causes cold sores by what it does to the body and knowing that you
will better able to prevent cold sores. Primarily any will cause the body to go toward the acid side, which in turn causes
cold sores.
Additionally, uses up nutrients that your immune system needs to remain strong. Specifically,
the B vitamins and vitamin C are considered the vitamins. These are used up quite quickly with any stress. Also, calcium
is depleted at a much faster rate and causes the cells to store more arginine.
It is quite the domino effect. This is how actually causes cold sores.
Mental and physical are equal in causing cold sores. Mental sometimes is even worse. It is amazing how many brides, or soon to
be mothers, will come down with cold sores. Other stresses that create cold sores
fast are head colds, fevers, problems with people in your life and too much sun
on that part of the face.
You now know that the actual causes of cold
sores are based, primarily, on your level of health. You also now know the true
reasons is blamed for causing cold sores. Armed with this information, you
will, hopefully, be better equipped to banish cold sores in your future.
