Scooters were first known as a child's vehicle that dates backto before 1920. Although were being manufactured, themajority of older children fashioned their own out ofmiscellaneous used parts. Remember the Little Rascal movies withscooters made out of produce crates? Technology and economieshave changed since that time, allowing for today's mass producedscooters to offer a variety models and to be sold at areasonably low cost.
Modern not only include the push that requirea little bit of exercise, but also feature electric and gasmotorized models. Advancements in technology have made way formany physically impaired individuals to replace wheel chairswith motorized and mobility scooters. Competition amongscooter manufacturers has led to unique design features as wellas miniature low-powered motorcycles.
Motorized are considered low-power motor vehicles bymany municipalities and are subject to state and localregulations. Some meet Department of Transportationregulations for operation on streets and roadways while othersare prohibited from being on the streets. Any time a motorizedvehicle is introduced into traffic areas, appropriate cautionarymeasures must be taken and
